From what we have considered, we can now see that man is a unique figure in the manifestation of the universe. He is gifted with the sixth sense: the potential of self realisation. But because of sensual intoxication man forget his true nature. He succumbs to emotions such as greed, anger, miserliness, lust, inferiority or superiority complex and vengeance. When he thinks, speaks, and acts in this condition, he creates troubles, pain, and miseries for himself and for others. All such pain producing deeds are called sins.
All man's deeds, enjoyments and experiences are imprinted in him and they condition his character and qualities. The character of man is conditioned by two layers of imprints of deeds and experiences. One layer is the imprint caused by all the deeds from the date of his birth up to the present. This is called Prarabdha Karma in Sanskrit 'present life imprints'. The other layer is that of hereditary imprints called as Sanchita Karma in Sanskrit 'imprints from numerous generations'. These are imprints from parents and their ancestors through the evolutionary process. Any present thought or action emerging from man is called Akamya Karma.
If a man is to avoid misery and pain, if he is to enjoy satisfaction happiness, harmony and peace in life, then the Akamya Karma should be transformed through Self awareness and realization of Consciousness. Only Self realization can deliver mankind from its age old suffering.
The main centre of the soul or life force is in the Muladhara in the base of the spine. It is possible to shift the working centre of the life force up to Ajna Chakra, the point between the eyebrows. This spot is also called the eye of wisdom.
In order to raise the Kundalini power from Muladhara to Ajna chakra, breathing exercise and the chanting of mantras were previously prescribed. This method however took a long time to take effect. Further more during the practice of these processes, the aspirant could not enter into the family life. This is where the kundalini yoga comes in useful.
The science of raising the kundalini power has developed a long way and have also been refined. A master who is well versed in kundalini yoga, can course an aspirant's kundalini power in minutes. In most instances the aspirant can feel the vibration of the kundalini energy at the Ajna chakra. For a few people however it may take several days to feel the vibration clearly. From the date of initiation the aspirant is enabled to practice mediation by merging his mind with his soul. This process is called simplified kundalini yoga 'SKY'. It is the process followed by all the World community service centers worldwide.
There are five stages in the basic SKY process :
- Initiation : The master passes energy into the aspirant for purification of body and soul. The master the arouses the Kundalini power from Muladhara to Ajna Chakra and activates the eys of wisdom, there by enabling the aspirant to feel the existence and function of the mystic kundalini power.
- Shanthi Yoga : A practice to subdue and control the force rising to the Ajna Chakra, so that it may not be excessive.
- Thuriya Yoga : Meditation on the centre of the crown.
- Maneuvering of the six temperaments of greed, anger, miserliness, lust, vanity and vengeance.
- Thuriyateetha yoga : Merging the individual consciousness with the Absolute.
SKY can be practiced by men and women above the age of maturity that is fourteen years of age. Simplified Kundalini yoga will ensure peace of oneself and through that peace to society. Thanks.
